Kimberling City, Missouri |
The August, 2007 edition of Log Home Living, a national
publication has featured Kimberling City as one of the best 12 places in
the United States to build a new Log Home. The article features
this image which was taken from of the deck at
Whisperingwoods Resort
About 1/2 of the article is about Kimberling City and the rest is
devoted to Table Rock Lake. An excellent article about the area.
The publication will be available on the news stands about July 1st.
For more information visit
Log Home Living
The publication has also linked their article directly to
kimberlingcity.org. Several have
made comments this may be the best National Recognition Kimberling City
and Table Rock Lake have received in a long time. |

Kimberling City is located on TableRock Lake, with over 800 miles of shoreline which is an ideal vacation spot. Activities on Table Rock Lake include fishing, water skiing, scuba diving, swimming and site seeing. Table Rock Lake is an outdoor paradise for fisherman, water enthusiasts, spelunkers, and those that want to explore nature. One excellent way is starting with Whats Up Dock which is the largest marina on the lake and is located in Kimberling City.
Located in the center of the activities on Table Rock Lake is Kimberling City on
Highway 13. This is a fast growing residential center and vacation industry. Kimberling City is well known as the beautiful area of the Ozarks, yet it is just a few miles from the famous "Live Music Capital of the World", Branson, Missouri. Branson West is just up the road from Kimberling City, and West of Branson, at the junction of State highways 13 and 76 which is a direct route to Silver Dollar City and Branson. As you drive 76 from Branson West you come to Indian Point Road. This is the home of Silver Dollar City and an excellent view from the top of the Ozark Mountains over looking TableRock Lake.
Going South from Kimberling City is the Lampe Recreational area, also on Table Rock Lake along with Blue Eye. The south side of the lake is considered the quiet area of the lake with the tourism mostly on the North side. Baxter Boat Dock at Lampe and Cricket Creek Marina at Blue Eye have less boat traffic for those that prefer a slower pace of life. View a Map here.
Kimberling City, Branson and Table Rock Lake are all in the Missouri Ozark Mountain Region.
Nearby attractions includes over 100 live music shows in Branson, Silver Dollar City, Shepherd of the Hills and too many others to list here. You may want to visit allbranson.net for more information on Branson.
